MacBook Liquid Damage Repair
Coffee, water, soda, wine — liquids meet Macs every day, and speed matters more than luck: corrosion starts within hours. Power the Mac off and bring it straight to us.
If any of this happened, you’re in the right place
- You spilled something and it “seemed fine” at first
- It started acting up hours or days after the spill
- Random shutdowns, or it no longer powers on at all
- Keys or the trackpad behaving erratically
- Battery not charging, or not recognized
- Fans at full speed, screen artifacts, or odd colors
- Corrosion or residue visible around ports
What we do
Liquid rarely destroys a Mac instantly — it corrodes it slowly. We perform a complete teardown, give the logic board an ultrasonic bath, remove corrosion under the microscope, and replace the specific components that were damaged. You get a written quote for exactly what’s needed before any repair proceeds.
Even if the machine “works fine” right now, bring it in: internal corrosion often appears days later, and an early cleaning is dramatically cheaper than a board repair.
What to do right nowUnplug it and power it off — don’t “just check if it still works.” Skip the rice; it does nothing for liquid inside the case. Don’t use a hairdryer. Bring it in as soon as you can — every hour counts.

Liquid damage repair levels
The level is determined by what the free teardown and inspection reveal.
| Level | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Level 1 — minor spill, single-area cleaning | $199 – $299 |
| Level 2 — multiple corroded areas, component replacement | $299 – $499 |

Our 90-day warranty covers the faults we repaired. Damage from future spills is excluded — see the warranty page for the full policy.
Liquid damage FAQ
Should I put it in rice?
No. Rice does nothing for liquid that’s already inside the case, and the delay lets corrosion spread. Powering off and professional cleaning within the first 24–48 hours gives the best odds.
Is my data recoverable?
Very often, yes — liquid usually damages power circuits before it touches storage. If the board can’t be brought back, we’ll quote data recovery options before you commit to anything.
Should I let it dry out first?
Powered off and open, fine — but drying the surface doesn’t stop corrosion already forming on the board. Bring it in; the teardown and inspection are free.
